The dialogue between end-user and developer presents several challenges in requirements development, e.g. negotiating functional requirements or bridging the gap between end-users' conceptual models and formal specifications. We enhance requirements development by analysis of scenario videos, using a knowledge model based on a semiotic interpretation of film language. A tool enables annotations, representing the conceptual model, that can be harvested for end-user knowledge. Generated sequence charts show a direct mapping of film to UML.
Target Audience: RE researchers and practitioners with experiences in selection of RE tools, techniques and methods for innovation projects
Prerequisites: None. Backgrounds in pedagogy, semiology, or communication design a plus!
