"Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him." A. Huxley. The same is true for software teams. Too often, we don't do much – if anything – to squeeze learning out of experience.

"Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him." A. Huxley. The same is true for software teams. Too often, we don't do much – if anything – to squeeze learning out of experience. Retrospectives are a way to take "what happens" during a software development project and use it to build understanding and capability. This team learning process is an integral part of every Agile method. This interactive session will cover a flexible framework that works for iteration, release and project retrospectives. We’ll experience a retrospective and try out hands at designing retrospectives to help teams learn and improve.
