Innovationsforum Industrie 2016
Engineers meet computer scientists, meet manager
09. September 2016 Stuttgart
In early 2016, representatives of the Industrie 4.0 platform and the Industrial Internet Consortium agreed a partnership. As part of this, it was resolved that the architectural models RAMI (Reference Architecture Model for Industry 4.0) and IIRA (Industrial Internet Reference Architecture) should collaborate in order to ensure future interoperability between the two models.
Moreover, both initiatives will cooperate on standardisation and use common testing environments. To this end the representatives worked together to draw up a roadmap. The open, informal group includes representatives from companies such as:
Robert Bosch GmbH, Cisco, IIC, Pepperl + Fuchs, SAP, Siemens, Ferdinand-Steinbeis-Institut and ThingsWise.
As a result of this cooperation the Innovationsforum Industrie (IFI) dealt with the question of how industrial firms can successfully master the digital transformation with the help of I4.0 reference architectures (e.g. IIRA and RAMI 4.0) at its conference on 09.11.2016.
