SIGS DATACOM offers three professional journals as an established supplier of print media.

The first edition of the OBJEKTspektrum magazine, the renowned German language professional journal for software engineering and management, was published in March 1994.

Since the summer of 2021, the magazine appears under the name of IT Spektrum.
IT Spektrum provides reliable background information, and information on trends and experiences on software management, architecture and engineering issues. The editorial team reviews all the articles submitted in terms of their quality and relevance and thus guarantees that the readers' expectations concerning quality and neutrality are fulfilled. Each edition is devoted to a special topic with two to three articles that address this topic respectively. The magazine is regularly supplemented by online specials with "hot topics". IT Spektrum is published every two months.

A special log-in for subscribers also enables them to download the issues, a) in PDF-Format and b) as an App-version. 

 

Based on the market's need for information on Java JavaSPEKTRUM was brought to life in May 1996. JavaSPEKTRUM is the hands-on magazine for professional software architects and developers who work with the Java platform. The magazine presents new developments and concepts, inspects their relevance for everyday use. Current topics such as aspect orientation, agility, Eclipse, embedded are dealt with in depth. JavaSPEKTRUM introduced a category for reports regarding the integration of Java with other platforms by means of the IntegrationsSPEKTRUM. „Effective Java" and "Der Praktiker" (The practitioner) offer examples of successful software development as columns for the reader's everyday working lives. Regular reports on plug-ins round off the package. Each edition is devoted to a specialist topic with at least articles that address this topic respectively. JavaSPEKTRUM is published every two months.

BI-SPEKTRUM is published since 2006 and has subsequently adressed the market for people with an interest in BI as a vendor-neutral source of information. All the articles are subject to the critical analysis and control of the specialist committee with prominent experts under the directorship of Prof. Dr. Peter Gluchowski. The direct link of the trade journal with the TDWI Germany e.V. secures a constant flow of information and the rapid addressing of future Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence topics in the European market. Through the cooperation of TDWI USA we guarantee that international trends will be immediately adressed in the BI-SPEKTRUM reports. BI-SPEKTRUM is published six times a year in addition to 1-2 special editions (print as well as online). The magazine presents new developments and concepts, inspects their relevance for everyday use.All the members of 
TDWI Germany e.V. receive the journal free of charge as part of the services provided by the TDWI.
