Even More Modern C++ - C++17, C++20 and beyond
Nicolai Josuttis
Since C++11, C++ has established itself more and more as THE programming language for good performance and embedded systems. There are good reasons for this, and it continues. With C++20, the next cycle of an even more modern C++ has just begun. Let's see where we stand and where we are going.

Next-generation C++ for cross-architecture development
Cédric Andreolli, TCE at Intel Corporation

In this session, Cédric will introduce the next generation of C++ called Data Parallel C++ (DPC++) which enables developers to code across multiple architectures including CPU, GPU, AI Accelerators and FPGA. The oneAPI industry initiative is driving this new standards-based cross-architecture language based on C++ and SYCL, with powerful APIs designed for acceleration of key domain-specific functions as well as analysis tools helping developers be productive from the start.

C++ in 2020 - Why desktop development is still important
Matthias Eißing, Senior Sales Consultant, Embarcadero Germany GmbH

JavaScript frameworks such as Electron are often used for Windows development because they enable fast productivity, low entry barriers, and fast deployment. Unfortunately, they often cause enormous effort and lack some features necessary for desktop applications. This is where RAD Studio comes in with C++Builder as the original rapid application development solution. Not only do developers get maximum productivity, C++ standards such as C++11 through C++17, but they also get native desktop performance with less overhead and access to all the features of the platform. When cross-platform is important, the FireMonkey framework offers your desktop applications compatibility on Windows 32 and 64 bit and iOS mobile platforms. Join this session to see how your preferred framework for rapid application development stands up to Electron and other JavaScript frameworks for desktop application development.
